(Clinical Focus: This set of values contains medications that are commonly used in an inpatient setting for pneumonia. These medications include intravenous (IV) or per os/by mouth (PO) Macrolides that are either specifically mentioned in clinical practice guidelines or are reasonable therapeutic equivalents.),(Data Element Scope: The intent of this data element is to identify patients who are on active medication therapy. Using the Quality Data Model, this particular element will map to the "Medication" category.),(Inclusion Criteria: Only include Macrolide drugs given by intravenous or oral routes.),(Exclusion Criteria: The drug concepts should be limited to those which are appropriate for human use and available to be prescribed in the United States. Drugs that take on topical or suppository forms should not be included.)
