(Clinical Focus: Concepts that represent conditions of anxiety that can impact chronic pain therapy.),(Data Element Scope: Active conditions.),(Inclusion Criteria: Conditions related to anxiety as outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV-TR). It was created to identify a patient at high risk for opioid therapy, therefore may not represent all anxiety-related disorders (e.g., fear of flying or bridges). Disorder codes pertaining to anxiety including: obsessive-compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, social phobia, specific phobia (simple phobia), adjustment disorder with anxious features, acute stress disorder, substance-induced anxiety disorder, and anxiety due to a general medical condition.),(Exclusion Criteria: Excluded are conditions related to pregnancy, newborns, and children.)
